BEZOAR IBEX (CAPRA AEGAGRUS AEGAGRUS)
Bezoar
Ibex is hunted in the Taurus Mountains of Antalya on the Mediterranean Coast.
One of the hunting areas is between 500 to 1200 m. above sea level. The area
is covered with Mediterranean scrub, pine and oak forests and the terrain is
rocky. The average trophy size is between 80 - 95 cm. Accommodation is in hotels
or camps. The other hunting region is in the north of Antalya, 3 hours drive
from the airport, the altitude is between 1000 - 2500 m. The terrain is rough,
thus hunters should be in good physical condition. The average trophy is between
95 - 100 but bigger trophies are possible. Accommodation is in camps and caves.
The success rate in both regions is 60 - 70 %.
Although the hunting season is between August 1st to December 31st and during all March, the best period is mid November to late December, which is the rutting period. The other favorable period is March as with the coming of spring the big trophies reappear. However, for the second area earlier hunts are advised due to the weather conditions. To reach Antalya it takes 55 minutes by plane from Istanbul. It is necessary to allow 6 - 10 days for this hunt. The climate is warm in August to the end of October. As November and December can be rainy and cold, woolen clothing and raincoats are advised. There can be snowfalls in the higher areas.

1st Day: Arrival via Istanbul, customs clearance with our assistance, accommodation in Antalya, briefing during dinner.
2nd Day: Wake up at 07.00 in the morning, after breakfast, transfer with jeeps to the hunting region Akseki, Cevizli Town, over 1500m above sea level. The transfer takes 2.5 hours to the hunting area. Beginning hunting on the mountains on arrival to the town.
3rd Day: All day hunt, spending nights in caves, camps or tents.
4th Day: Same as the 3rd day

7th Day: If the flight is early in the morning, then the hunting party will be held in hotel on the 6th day's night and transfer to Antalya in the morning according to the flight schedule. If the flight is during late hours the hunting party will be held on the 7th day's night and with a next day transfer to Antalya.
WILD BOAR HUNTING
ASIAN WILD BOAR (SUS SCROFA):
Wild boar can be hunted on the southern coast
of Turkey, in the 
Antalya
region by driven and high seat hunting. Driving is the most popular way. A minimum
of eight hunters are required for a successful and harmonious drive. The hunting
period is from early October to late February. Also it may be arranged for 1
- 2 hunters.
The second method is high seat hunting in moonlight. Tuskers can usually be found by the water and mostly use the same feeding areas during summer. High seat hunting is recommended for big trophy hunters. The best period is from the beginning of May to mid November.
To reach Antalya it takes 55 minutes by plane from Istanbul. Accommodation can be provided in lodges within the hunting area and/or a comfortable hotel. It is necessary to allow 5-7 days for this hunt. You may enjoy your trip to Antalya by combining both hunting and a Mediterranean Coast vacation in one of the many comfortable hotels in the area.

CHAMOIS HUNTING
ASIAN
CHAMOIS (RUPICABRA RUPICABRA ANATOLICA): Of
the chamois family, this is the only species that lives in Asia and can be found
in northern, eastern and central Anatolia only. Chamois hunting is arranged
in the Kackar Mountains, north-east of the Black Sea Region, at an altitude
of 2000-3500m.
The best period for chamois is October and November. During this period the success rate is 70-75%.
The hunting area in Artvin-Yusufeli is reached after a 2 hour flight from Istanbul to Erzurum, followed by a 3 hour drive.
To reach Antalya it takes 55 minutes
by plane from Istanbul. Accommodation can be provided in lodges within the hunting
area and/or a comfortable hotel.
It is necessary to allow 5-7 days for this hunt. You may enjoy your trip to Antalya by combining both hunting and a Mediterranean Coast vacation in one of the many comfortable hotels in the area.
Accommodation will be in hunting lodges or camps.
The region is mountainous and barren. As the chamois move in large droves and have long range vision, it is advised to wear light brown clothing until mid October, after which white camouflage is advised.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR TURKEY HUNTING SEASON
Outfitters or hunters are requested to send the details of their hunting license, rifle serial number and its caliber and also their arrival and departure dates to Cherokee Tourism and Travel. Cherokee will procure the hunting license. Trophy fees are assessed by the Ministry of Forest and must be paid as cash or travelers checks. All Foreign hunters are allowed to bring at most 3 rifles and 3 shotguns with 50 bullets for each caliber and 100 shot shells for each gauge.
Fifty percent of the total hunt prices are to be paid as deposit for firm bookings.
Trophy fees are assessed by Ministry of Forest and must be paid in cash or travelers check.
Hunt prices include hunt organization, hunting permissions, guides, interpreter, custom clearance, dogs, transfers, trophy preparation, meals (alcoholic drinks are extra) and lodging.
The hunting trip can be extended up to 10 hunting days.
All the hunts prices are per person and extra hunting day is $ 400.
Once a trophy/trophies has/have been bagged, the hunt is over.
The price for non hunters are $ 125,- (per day)
Ibex & Chamois Hunting is only allowed with Rifles (7 mm or 30.06 caliber).
Wild boar & Bear Hunting shot guns are allowed.
Make sure to bring all necessary official documentation available such as Hunting licenses and weapon ownership certificates for Turkish custom clearance.
Turkish customs allows max. 50 bullets per rifle or shut gun.

If for any reason one of these trophies are not bagged the following amounts will be refunded:
USD 1750.00 for ibex
USD 1250.00 for chamois.
There is no refund for wild boar.
Once a trophy / trophies have been bagged the hunt is over.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS
A down payment of 50% should be made on booking the hunt, the balance of 50% to be made 45 days before the arrival of the hunter. Should the hunt only be booked and confirmed 45 days or less prior to the hunt, full payment must be made in advance.
